Anna Karina Care Information
Care
The proper care is essential to ensure your items will be kept looking their best for longer. Some items can be maintained on your own, but for optimum results we recommend you have your items cleaned by a specialist. Below you will find information on care and storage for your items.POLYESTER & POLY FIBERS
Like most items, polyester and poly fiber products should be left to a
dry-cleaner if they need to be cleaned properly.
Polyester items can be kept looking crisp and clean with a light shake and
dust off. Spot clean with a smooth damp cloth. Never machine wash, bleach
or tumble dry these items, if needed, iron on low heat by placing the item
front side down in between a towel and with gentle pressure iron the flat
back side. Ironing with a towel prevents any raised detailing, such as
embroidery, from being flattened.
Poly fiber products such as faux fur can be shaken or vacuumed lightly to
avoid dust setting into the fabric. Do not machine wash, bleach, tumble
dry, iron or steam iron items as this will ruin the fibers.
When storing, keep product in a cool and dry place away from sunlight, heat
and humidity. Poly fiber products should not be packed in plastic, as this
does not allow the material to breathe.
RAYON & VELVET
Since these type of item are not machine washable, it is recommended you
seek a dry-cleaner or specialist for best result if thorough cleaning is
necessary. For minor stain or spot removal it is best to clean as large an
area as possible to avoid leaving rings.
Rayon and velvet fabrics are maintained well with damp fluffing and
brushing and it is important to remember to stroke or brush the yarn back
to its natural direction. Never machine wash, bleach or tumble dry these
items, if needed, iron on low heat by placing the item front side down in
between a towel and with gentle pressure iron the flat back side. Ironing
with a towel prevents any raised detailing, such as embroidery, from being
flattened.
When storing, keep product in a cool and dry place away from sunlight, heat
and humidity.
SEQUIN & BEADED
Although the fabric and material itself may tolerate washing, decoratively
embellished items such as sequin, or beaded items should just be wiped off.
Should you need to have your items thoroughly cleaned, for best result the
products should be dry-cleaned to avoid loss of any small items or details.
Never machine wash, bleach or tumble dry these items, if needed, iron on
low heat by placing the item front side down in between a towel and with
gentle pressure iron the flat back side. Ironing with a towel prevents any
raised surface detail from being flattened.
When storing, keep product in a cool and dry place away from sunlight, heat
and humidity.
LEATHER & SUEDE
Leather requires very little upkeep and is easily maintainable. Keep in
mind to avoid commercial soaps, oils or cleaners and these emulsions may
actually ‘strip’ the leather as they are intended for upholstery and
other commercial items, a light dust off with a dry cloth will keep leather
looking fresh. Should you spill any liquid, wipe it up immediately to avoid
staining, if you need to clean up an area that has been soiled, gently wipe
with mild soap and water being careful not to rub into the leather or over
saturate it.
Suede requires similar maintenance as leather, only it is more sensitive to
water and it should preferably be avoided altogether. A nice way to touch
up suede is to use a short bristled or rubber suede brush. Never bleach,
tumble dry or iron any leather or suede items.
When storing, keep product in a cool and dry place away from sunlight, heat
and humidity. Do not keep any leather or suede product packed in plastic,
as this does not allow the material or to breathe.
FUR & HIDE
Lightly wipe or brush off item with a dry cloth, keeping in mind to brush
in with the natural direction of the fibers. In the need of a stain
removal, any fur or hide product should only be cared for by a
professional. Please seek the expertise of a certified furrier or
specialist to care for your items. Do not attempt to wash the product
yourself as this will result in damaging the fibers and texture. Never
bleach, tumble dry or iron any leather or suede items.
When storing, keep product in a cool and dry place away from sunlight, heat
and humidity. Do not keep any fur or hide product packed in plastic, as
this does not allow the material or fibers to breathe.
COTTONS & LINENS
For best care wash linens on gentle cycle in warm/cold water, hang dry or
tumble dry low, finish with iron if desired. To avoid flattening the
embroidery, place a towel on top of the linens and iron as normal or steam
iron for gentle wrinkle release. *note - do not use bleach
